hi.

i wrote a poem.

don't get all interpretational with it.
it's not talking about a specific time.
It's talking about all the times I've ever fallen out of love with a person, or them out of love with me. Because I'm starting to really appreciate the way things turned out.
They're nice.

(It needs a title)
So here:

All the pain and sorrow I
Reflect upon, and pause
Because - I'm sorry - I did not know
That we could be the cause.

I wonder, as our paths have crossed,
Exactly how you feel.
I wonder if love's truly lost,
If love was even real.

It seems to me (as it should do)
A tragedy has struck
And yet I know that Love tends to
Plays games with Friendship's luck.

We could be with stars above
On love's most peaceful shore.
But I know: though we like to love
We love our friendship more.

... so there.
I wonder why i cannot name my own stuff.

So at dance last night, only about half the class was there.
Lots of people have shows, i guess.

So we do about three minutes of, like, roll-your-neck warmups,
and suzi says,
"Okay, everyone. To the barre!"

i was more than excited.
it all kinda came right back to me.
And i miss ballet.


And!
this afternoon we had the Jewish Band,
who will play a song to appease the complainers.
but it's actually kinda nice.

and!

i think i will surely die of anticipation.
i just CAN'T wait for all-south next saturday.
i can't i can't i can't.

So.

Last night JD invited
me,
melissa,
zimm,
matthew,
and kate

to the movies to see Casino Royale.

It was probably the best movie i've seen in a while.
i was surprised, actually, by how much i did really like it.

it wasn't all mindless violence or anything, either.
like, you really had to be paying attention and on top of things.

we were quite the distraction.
i guess someone has to be.

Since... September, things have certainly gotten better.

I've adjusted to this crazy-as-heck schedule that Juniors face.

I've adjusted to friends moving on to bigger, better things, on more than one occasion, and truly being happy for them.
Knowing that i'm not the junk, and that there are more important things for people.

I've adjusted to the idea of playing piano for Jazz band instead of the Alto i loved so much.

I've adjusted, sorta, thought i do still complain, to being a soprano.

I've adjusted to new ways of teaching, although i still complain about that, too.

I've adjusted to the new Harmony, without the last buncha seniors. .. I really like it.

I've adjusted. Moved over in accommodation. And it's nice here.

In gym one day, Kate and I discussed all the things we have to do this year:
(1) Make Team Four shirts
(2) Make Brady Bunch shirts
(3) ... other things i can't remember

And it's funny, because as much as we joke about being so busy..

We really really are.


I love history, don't get me wrong.
But it IS a whole lot of work that i don't really have time to sit around and do.

And somehow, even WITHOUT marching band (go ahead, JD, and leave a comment without condoning that fact. and grab your dictionary :-P), I still don't have enough time.

It seems like i never stop moving. ever.


I'm so sick of school.
Thank goodness for this three-day weekend.
During which i have two shows. of course.
